Stand Alone Store Assistant Manager

This is no ordinary store, but a shiny new Virgin Media store. Which is no ordinary company, but the largest media and entertainment company in the UK. So, you see, this is no ordinary role. You’ll be a pioneer, leading your team in a concept that’s a first in the UK market - selling TV, broadband, phone and mobile services as a package on the high street. And, we’ve got the environment to match. With really cool stuff like a ‘try before you buy’ desk, customer jukebox and plasma screens showcasing TV content, we’ve created a whole new experience for our customers. Which in turn all helps us to continue delivering the great (and award winning) customer service we’re famous for.
What you’ll actually do:
You’ll work closely with the Store Manager, leading your empowered, developed and motivated team to deliver exceptional results. Of course, there’s also all the usual stuff around managing a successful retail business – you’ll help out with managing budgets, achieving business goals, targets and KPIs and keep an eagle eye on all competitor activity. This could be your chance to shine and take your retail experience to the next level.
What you’ll need to be:
- good with people, and have some supervisory experience
- highly customer focused
- communicative and influential
- creative and flexible, yet also very organised
- commercially aware and forward thinking
- ideally experienced in a retail specialist assisted sales environment
- PC literate and technically adept
